Nuns help trans people gain social acceptance in southern India

Amid lockdown in March 2020, religious sisters began to work with transgender people in need in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The sisters have helped them build self-reliance and gain social acceptance.

Training for grievance redressal infuses hope among Indian women religious

"Today we have a platform to share our problems without fear of retribution," said one of the nuns who attended a training on the Grievance Redressal Cell, an initiative of the Conference of Religious Women India.
